  • "Cheia" Monastery - Monastery of monks dedicated to the Holy Trinity is located on the right bank of the Tâmpa brook, in the southeastern part of the town. Attested since 1770, it was destroyed by the Turks, rebuilt, then burned by fire. The current church was built of brick between 1835-1839 and painted by Gheorghe Tattarascu in 1837.

  • "Suzana" Monastery - Located at a distance of 40 km from the town of Valenii de Munte, on the valley of the river Teleajen, Suzana Monastery - historical monument - is located on a hill surrounded by fir and beech forests. On these places, the first monastic settlement was built in 1740. This was a beamed church dedicated to '' St. Hierarch Nicolae '', patron saint he still has today. The name Suzana is inherited from the founder Stanca Arsica from Săcele Brasov, who became a monk and named Suzana. The wooden church lasted 100 years and, becoming unsuitable, was replaced by another one in the wall, which unfortunately also collapsed in an earthquake. The current church was built between 1880-1882 during the reign of Mother Natalia Perlea, the aunt of the great conductor Ionel Perlea and with the help of the founder Filip Treti as well as other people of good faith. The special painting of the church is executed in oil and is due to the master Petre Nicolau, a disciple of Gh. Tattarescu. It was restored in 1976 by the painter Gheorghe Vanatoru. The monastery has another church - the Chapel - dedicated to "The Shroud of the Mother of God" which was built in 1911 during the time of the abbess Tomaida Perlea. In a specially arranged space, the monastery also has a wonderful collection in which are exhibited icons painted on wood and glass, numerous old books with Cyrillic letters as well as other objects of worship.

  • "Zamfira" Monastery - Located on the Teleajen Valley, between the cities of Ploiesti and Văleni de Munte, Zamfira Monastery was founded in 1743 by Zamfira Apostol, the wife of a boyar from the court of voivode Constantin Brâncoveanu.
